Suitable for all abilities Whether jewellery is a new interest, you’re looking to learn a new technique or wanting to brush up on an old one - everyone is welcome. There are a maximum of 5 students, ensuring everyone receives individually tailored tuition.
About the course Beginners will start with basic silver-smithing techniques like measuring, piercing, soldering, filing and polishing. More advanced students will practise techniques such as stone setting, surface finishes, etching, enamelling techniques, reticulation and lathe work can be pursued. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace to create pieces of jewellery to their own designs and ideas - while receiving guided and personalised tuition from Jinks.
Each course day runs from 10am to 5pm.
A delicious, vegetarian home-made lunch is included each day of the course - there will be a break at 1pm to eat altogether in Jink’s home next to the workshop. Coffee and tea is also provided in the workshop.
